The valve allows gas to flow into the tubing, creating a pressure difference that lifts the fluid to the surface. The reverse cycle gas lift platform includes a gas injection system that provides the gas required for the gas lift. The system usually consists of a gas compressor, a gas storage tank and a gas injection line. The gas is compressed and injected into the wellbore through a gas lift valve.
